It's Meagan here! This blog is one near and dear to my heart, as it's inspired by my own little girl who is turning one at the end of this month! (Sniff)
I've been on many different photo shoots with Treva, but child photography is something else!! Yesterday I had the best of both worlds, as the mom and as the photographer assistant. We had Treva take my little girl's 1st birthday pictures, and let me tell you what, by the end of it she (and I) were ready for a nap! All in all they turned out amazing (with Treva behind the camera) and I couldn't be happier. Just make sure to never forget the juice bottle! :)
As the mother of a one year old, I can tell you first hand it's a whole new level of awesome. It brings me such joy to see the new things she discovers everyday. It's like she's right there at the crossroad between baby and toddler, and as excited as I am to continue watching her grow and learn, my heart is a bit sad that my sweet baby is getting more and more independent.
However, during this photo shoot it really proved to me just how much goes into getting the perfect image of a busy, moving, active little human! My girl was all over the place! Treva was great with helping me get her attention and keep her happy. With the hundreds of different props there are to use in the studio, I was a bit unsure of the certain "look" I wanted. Hats off to Treva, she definitely knows how to capture the exact moment and memory the parent's are looking for! We made sure to have some yummy snacks on hand, a big cup of juice, and don't forget the pink birthday cake at the end! All in all, I am so happy I get to work for such an awesome lady who produces such amazing images that parents get to cherish for a lifetime.
